     John William Wood Fordham was born on 27 August 1895. He was the son of Herbert John Fordham and Rose Kate Wood.

Mr Fordham Came to the Tendring Council after experience with a number of other local authorities in Essex and other appointments in Kent, and he undertook the responsible task of organised the council's financial departments when it first became a separate unit, the offices of the council then being situated at Harwich. During the war he had been Food Executive Officer for the rural district, a task to which he brought his usual pleasant and businesslike methods. Mr Fordham was held in high esteem by members of the council, by his fellow officials and the members of the council's staff. He formerly resided at Dovercourt.".

     Joyce Mary Fordham was born on 3 May 1927. She was the daughter of John William Wood Fordham and Gladys Daisy Leighton.

Aveline de Fortibus married Edmund Earl of Lancaster in April 1269.
