     Christine Unknown married Thomas Popplewell (son of Humphrey, Beltoft), son of Humphrey Popplewell and Elizabeth Healey, before 1652. Her name is hard to read. In Jan 2001 I cannot find the source of this marriage which was entered as 22 Oct 1656.
     Christine died before 13 June 1664 in Belton, Lincolnshire. She was buried on 13 June 1664 in Belton. Her son was baptised the same day.

     In George Ashby's will dated 3 October 1672 in St Phillip, Deborah Unknown was named as heir; Will of George Ashby, planter of St Philip, signed Oct 3 1672. To son George Ashby, 6 acres of his plantation on which he now resides, adjoining the road path and one negro boy [Sanders states 3 acres & dwelling house where John Jarman now lives]; to his loving son William, son of me, the said George Ashbey, 3 acres of land with the dwelling house now occupied by Thomas Neale; daughter Deborah Ashbey, 3 acres of land and the house thereon now occupied by Henry Sellman and a negro girl, should she marry Edward Jollopp, 12 peices of sterling and no more; loving wife Deborah Ashbey the rest of estate real and personal with dwelling house, outhouses and stock of whatever kind; wife Deborah Ashby executrix, friends Rowland Hutton & John Taylor - overseers, signed George Ashbey, Witnessed by Ambrose Nile & Henry King.

Deborah A Hulton, widow of the parish of St Philip, signed a deed of gift in which she bestowed the said 4 slaves to "my loving son, William Ashby". The slaves are to remain within her possession until her death, and then they are to go to Wm Ashby. The deed of gift was signed 25 March 1687 and proved 27 May 1693.

     Deborah Unknown and George Ashby were mentioned in a deed dated 17 April 1690 in St Phillip, Barbados. Deed of George Ashby of St Philip, signed 17 April 1690, proved 20 March 1691: Deborah Hilton, a widow of the parish of St Philip, and the mother of George Ashby, made unto her said son all her estate by a deed of gift. In consideration of this fact, Geo Ashby undertook that she should be paid the annual sum of £12 during her life on Feb 1. Further George Ashby undertook that within a year of his mother's death that there should be paid to Elizabeth, Susannah & Deborah Peacock, the children of his (George Ashby's) sister, Deborah Peacock, the full sum of £50. For the better security of these payments, he had sold unto the said Deborah Hilton 5 negroes and 2 acres of land in the parish of St Philip bounding on the lands of the said George Ashby. Witnesses by Ambrose Niles & John Nusum.
     Deborah died in St Phillip, Barbados.
