I am looking for any information about my g.g.g.g.g.grandmother Alice Steer Jones.
Her father was John Steer and her mother was Elizabeth Mariot. They were married June 12, 1768. 1758!!
Their children were: John, b.1769, Alice b.1770, Elizabeth,b.1771, George b.1774, Susan b. 1775, Jane b.1777, Joseph b.1779, and Ann b. 1780. I believe they all lived in Darnall.
My problem is I cannot find who was John Steers father, I know there were a number of John Steers (at least three) in that same timeframe. Anyone who can share any information I would appreciate it.
Thank You, Lisa Kelley. Alice Steer was christened on 26 February 1761 in Attercliffe, Sheffield, Yorkshire. She was the daughter of John Steer and Elizabeth Marriott.
     Alice Steer married Joseph Jones.
