     Rev Frederick Tapply was born on 20 August 1842 at Rolvenden, Kent. He was the son of Thomas Tapply and his wife Matilda Elphee and gt grandson of John Tapply of Rolvenden (1723-1774).
     Rev Frederick Tapply appeared on the 1861 census at Hollingbourne, Kent. He was an assistant in a school.
     Rev Frederick Tapply married Ann Emily Pickmore Rumsey, daughter of Rev John Williams Rumsey and Ann Emily Hunn, on 24 June 1873 at Rolvenden, Kent. In the 1861 census he was an assistant a school in Hollinbourne. Frederick was a clergyman and school master, being ordained deacon in 1871 and priest the following year. For many years he was a private coach at Follkestone in 1881.

     Frederick died in September 1923 at Kent? aged 81. There is a mural tablet to his memory in the little Norman church of Paddlesworth where he ministered.

Nicholas Tattersall (presumably their son, acquired Richard Geere's cottage and garden in Rottingdean which was inherited by his daughter Susanna (baptised 30 Oct 1676 at Brighton, [but daughter of Nicholas & Mary], the wife of Peter White, doctor? in 1702. The latter married 16 June 1702 at Pyecombe, Ssx.
