The Susannah Stretton mentioned in the workhouse at Stamford, was the daughter of Elizabeth (nee Stancer) The child died at age 2, it was baptisted in the church at Tallington. Susannah went on to be a nurse at Stamford, and later died in Stamford a few months after her mother died in Tallington. I knew of the illigitimate child, as in the church records it is refered to, but not given a name or even its sex mentioned.
