     James Snadden married Catherine MacKenzie, daughter of William MacKenzie and Isabella Tindal, on 29 April 1867 in the Bucks Head Hotel, Napier Street, Fitzroy, Victoria. James Snadden, engineer aged 30, born Alva, Stirlingshire, son of Jean nee Michie and Joseph Snedden.
     James died on 23 March 1895 in Clifton Hill, Victoria.
     His will was proved on 28 August 1895 in Victoria.

     Jane Michie Snadden was known as Jenny. She was born in 1875 in Collingwood, Victoria. She was the daughter of James Snadden and Catherine MacKenzie.

Isaac Coclsedge, aged 34, head, BSG, brick maker, born at BSG with wife Anne aged 30, and children George 13, John 11, William 7, Annie 5, Maitley (Martina) 3 and Eylety 1, all born at Bradfield St George. They had a lodger Henry Cocksedge, farm labourer, aged 20 unmarried, perhaps this is his brother who went off with his wife. Ann Snell and Isaac Cocksedge witnessed Jonathan Cocksedge and Annie Gladwell's wedding on 25 September 1890 in Bradfield St George, Suffolk.
     Ann Snell and Isaac Cocksedge appeared on the 1891 census in Small Green, Bradfield St George. Isaac Cocksedge, aged 42, brickmaker, born Rougham, his wife Ann aged 39, born BSG, and his children Martina 12, Henrietta 10, Harry 8, Emma? 6, all born at BSG; his father Abraham, widower, aged 77, brickmaker and his brother Harry aged 30 both born at Rougham.

     Thomas Snydall married daughter Rich, daughter of Edward Rich and Elizabeth Turton, before 1603.
     In Edward Rich's will dated 6 August 1 James I (1603) in Thurlstone, Penistone, Yorkshire,, Thomas Snydall was named as heir; In the name of god Amen: I Edward Rich of the Bulhouse in the township of Thurleston and County of York being of perfect memory make this my last will and testament this sixth of August the first year of our soveraigne Lord James by the grace of god of England Scotland France & Ireland king defender of the faith etc AD 160-. Note that his other son Amor is not a beneficiary of the will, presumably because he is the heir of his grandfather. Thomas Snydall, John Wordsworth and Richard Rich was an executor of Edward Rich's estate on 3 October 1605 in the Prerogative Court of York.

     Alice Louisa Emily Somers was born circa 1858 in Westmeath, Ireland. She was the daughter of John Richard Somers and Maria Jane Handy.
     Alice Louisa Emily Somers married Horatio North-Bomford circa 1876. Burke's Irish families states that she was the daughter of Richard Summers of Tyrrellspass, Co Westmeath, and had issue with two daughters [and a son:] Isaac John (Rev Canon) MA, born 14th April 1882 and died 2nd September 1968.      Alice Louisa Emily Somers and Horatio North-Bomford appeared on the 1911 census in Tyrrellspass, Westmeath, Ireland. Horatio was an ex Captain, aged 64, living at a hotel in Tyrrellspass (presumably Tyrrellspass House) with his wife Alice aged 53 (ie born c1858) and born in Westmeath, and daughter Norah, aged 26, born in Dublin city.

     Cyril Dermott Somers was born circa 1897 in Westmeath. He was the eldest son. He was the son of Rev Samuel Handy Somers and Ida Rebecca MacEnnery.
     Cyril died on 20 March 1917 in Arras, France. He was a 2nd Lt inthe Inniskilling Fusilliers.

     Her birth was registered in the quarter ending in September 1915 in Scariff RD. Honor Mary Somers was the daughter of Rev Samuel Handy Somers and Ida Rebecca MacEnnery.
     Honor died of dropsy as a teenager on 30 March 1930 aged 14.

     Jeanette Gertrude Somers was born on 5 September 1844 in Ireland. She was the daughter of John Richard Somers and Maria Jane Handy.
     Jeanette Gertrude Somers married Joseph Pim North on 20 March 1867 in Taney, Dublin, Ireland. They had 12 children: [listed in Sheila Perino email 29 June 2007].

     Jeanette died on 7 April 1882 in 'Moyally', Horseleap?, Tullamore, Offaly, Ireland, aged 37. The house was built by Joseph Pim North after they married. This house was an addition to an older existing house that had been built in the 1700's and was in bad repair. They probably finished the house around 1874. In 1882, 15 years after they married, Jeanette Gertrude died a month after giving birth to her last child, of an intestinal infection, something that would be easily treatable with today's medicine, but in those times proved fatal.

     Jeff Somers was born in Ireland. He was the son of Rev Samuel Handy Somers and Ida Rebecca MacEnnery.
     Jeff died in Burma.

     John Richard Somers was born in 1814 in Tyrrellspass, Westmeath, Ireland. He was the eldest son of Richard Somers of Tyrrellspass, by Anne Sarah Fouance, daughter of Thomas Fouance also of Tyrrellspass. He was the son of Richard Somers and Anne Sarah Fouace.
     He was a JP of Tyrrellspass, Killucan, Co Westmeath, and of Friarsland, Dundrum, Co Dublin. In 1836 John Richard married Maria Jane Handy, of the above deed when she was a widow, 6th daughter of Samuel Handy of Bracca Castle, Co Westmeath, and “has with other issue”, Richard John, late Captain 11th Hussars; born 1838, married 1870 Jane, a daughter of the Rev Peter Marsh.

From all this it is clear that Horatio married Alice Louisa Emily Somers, a daughter of John Richard Somers (born 1814 and died before 1895; an extract of his will in the National Archives records his death on 5 October 1894 at 41 Wellington Road; his executors were Marcus Anthony Levings of Newpark, Athlone, Co Roscommon, and Colonel James Henry Dopping of Bellavista, Blackrock (Eva Mullooly email 3 Apr 2008)) of Tyrrellspass House in Westmeath, and of Friarsland, Co Dublin, and Maria Jane Handy, 6th daughter of Samuel Handy of Bracca Castle, Co Westmeath. Alice had at least one brother, Captain Richard John Somers, There is a will for Richard Somers in the National Archive: he died on 16 Jan 1890 and probate was granted in the sum of £787 to Anne Somers, spinster, his daughter (Eva Mullooly email 3 Apr 2008)..
     John Richard Somers married Maria Jane Handy, daughter of Samuel Handy and Jane Orme, in March 1836 in Ardnurcher or Horseleap, Westmeath.
     John died on 4 October 1894 in 41 Wellington St, Dublin, Ireland.

     Reginald Arthur Somers was born in 1901 in Corebeg townland, Doora DED, Clare, Ireland. He may have married in Ireland in 1934. He was the son of Rev Samuel Handy Somers and Ida Rebecca MacEnnery.
     Reginald died on 11 February 1942 in Burma. Major R D J Somers, 7th Rajputs who died on active service.

     Richard Somers married Anne Sarah Fouace, daughter of Thomas Fouace and Sarah Unknown.

     Richard John Somers was born in 1838. He was the son of John Richard Somers and Maria Jane Handy.
     Richard John Somers married Jane Marsh in 1870. Richard John, late Captain 11th Hussars, married 1870 Jane, a daughter of the Rev Peter Marsh.
     Richard died on 16 January 1890.
     His will was proved in Ireland.

     Samuel Handy Somers was born circa 1839. He was the son of John Richard Somers and Maria Jane Handy.
     Samuel Handy Somers married Mary Anne Jeffcott on 24 June 1862 in St Anne's, Dublin. Orme William Handy and Samuel Handy Somers was an executor of Alexander Kingstone Handy's estate on 19 December 1883 in Mullingar.
     Samuel's death was registered in the quarter ending in December 1900 in Dublin North RD.

     Rev Samuel Handy Somers was born in 1869 in Mullingar RD, Westmeath. He was the son of Samuel Handy Somers and Mary Anne Jeffcott. Samuel was rector of the parish of Mountshannon, co. Clare and Canon of St Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin.
     Rev Samuel Handy Somers and Ida Rebecca MacEnnery's marriage was registered in the quarter ending June 1896 in Dublin, Rathdown RD.
     Rev Samuel Handy Somers appeared on the 1901 census in Corebeg townland, Doora DED, Clare. Samuel Handy Somers, head, Church of Ireland, 32, clergyman, married born Westmeath; Ida Somers, wife, 27, born co. Dublin and Cyril Dermott Somers, son, 4, born Westmeath & Reginald Arthur Somers, 1 month, born co. Clare.
     There is a monument to them at Mountshannon. His wife predeceased him by 11 years.
     Samuel died on 26 July 1941 in Scarriff RD.
