A large number of carriages followed the hears and the chief mourners were Mr Edgar Sheridan (son), Mrs Grant and Dr Grant (daughter and son-in-law), Mrs W H Sheridan, Mr Clifford Sheridan, Mr Leo Sheridan, Mr Ian Grant and Mr Colin Grant (grandsons). The service was conducted by the Vicar of Thundersley (Rev E A Maley) and the internment took place in the churchyard.
