Note Mrs Ingram has one part with a covenant added from Mr Johnson & Mr Steer for payment.

Mortage of £9000 held by Sarah Ingram of Wakefield to be repaid by each moiety equally.. Robert and Elizabeth was the previous owner of the land sold on 30 April 1762 in Bawtry, Blyth, Yorkshire.
     In Sarah Smith's will dated 26 September 1772, Elizabeth Popplewell was named as heir. ...her nieces Miss Mary Serjeantson, Miss Sarah Smith, Mary Torr, wife of Nicholas Torr of Pontefract, Alice Trant of Himsworth, Sarah Brown of Sheffield, Catharine wife of Allen Johnson of Wakefield, Elizabeth wife of Robert Steer of Sandtoft, co. Lincoln, Mary & Elizabeth Denton of Wakefield and Elizabeth Halliday; ... and also I give to my niece Miss Ann Denton the sume thirty pounds upon trust that she shall and do at her own costs and charges, as soon as conveniently may be after the end of a calendar months next after my decease, lay out the same in the purchase of freehold lands, tenements, hereditaments, in the W Riding of Yorkshire and convey and settle ... unto the schoolmaster for the time being of the school lately built by my late brother John Smith, Esquire, deceased, situate... in Greenside for ever ... The will also names her nephews John Sylvester Smith of Newland, William Serjeantson of Wakefield, esq. and William Smith of Methley; her nieces Miss Mary Serjeantson, Miss Sarah Smith, Mary Torr, wife of Nicholas Torr of Pontefract, Alice Trant of Himsworth, Sarah Brown of Sheffield, Catharine wife of Allen Johnson of Wakefield, Elizabeth wife of Robert Steer of Sandtoft, co. Lincoln, Mary & Elizabeth Denton of Wakefield and Elizabeth Halliday. To the charity school of Wakefield 20 pounds, to the York County Hospital 20 pounds, etc. etc.
     Elizabeth Popplewell made a will dated 29 February 1780 in Belton, LIN. Will of Elizabeth Steer of Sandtoft, widow, mentions her only son Richard Ryther Popplewell Steer, her sister Catherine wife of Alan Johnson, and gave legacies to her godson Thomas Johnson jr. of Crowle; Ann Clark of Belton & Henrietta Popplewell, daughter of Humphrey Popplewell. She gave a silver tannkard to the church at Belton. To be buried between her husband & father at Belton.
     Elizabeth died on 11 March 1780 in of Sandtoft, Belton, Lincolnshire, aged 61. In the north chancel of Belton church is a memorial: Here also lies interred the body of Elizabeth Steer, relict of Robert Steer, esq. late of Sandtoft Grove, and one of the co-heiresses of Rich. Popplewell, esq. late of Temple Belwood, in the parish of Belton. She departed this life on the 11th day of March, in the year of our Lord 1780, and in the 61st year of her age.. She was buried on 14 March 1780 in Belton.
