He was transported to Tasmania arriving 16 September 1845. He is probably the convict who departed London 14 June 1845 on the 'Marion", He was tried at Southampton, Portsmouth 11 April 1844 and was sentenced for 10 years, he was a Protestant who could read and write. He was transported for stealling live ducks. He was at Longford when the last remark in his record was made. His native place was Portsmouth.
     Robert Parrott married Mary Hart before 1856. She came to Gippsland to join her husband after his return from the Snowy River diggings abaout 40 years before her death in 1901.
     Robert died in 1898? In Victoria. A Robert Parrott, aged 72, parents unknown, died at Sale in 1898.
