     Edward Lascelles 1st Earl of Harewood married Anne Chaloner Countess of Harewood, The Hon on 12 May 1761 in Yorkshire. She was the daughter of William Chaloner, of Guisborough, co. York, by his wife Mary Finny, dau. of James Finny, of Finny Lane, co. Stafford.
     He was Collector of Customs in Barbados when his cousin died. The Peerage was re-established in his favour in 1796 - Second Baron Harewood, first Earl of Harewood & Viscount Lascelles. Edward Lascelles, heir at law of Edwin Lascelles, 1st and last Baron Harewood, of Harewood Castle Yorkshire, having sat as M.P. for Northallerton in several Parliaments was created Baron Harewood of Harewood 1796. Edward created Earl of Harewood & Viscount Lascelles in 1812.

     Edwin died on 25 January 1795 in Harewood, Yorkshire, aged 81. He married twice but with no sons the barony expired.
