     Joseph Banks was the son of Robert Banks and Elizabeth Ward.

     Rev Joseph Banks was born before April 1690 in Kingston upon Hull, Yorkshire. He was the son of Rev Robert Banks and Margaret Thornton. Rev Joseph Banks was listed in the household of Rev Robert Banks paying tax in Hull, Yks, between 1695 and 1697.
