He had shares in Shoreham Harbour, stocks and bonds, shares in land companies, the Crown Life Assurance Company and railway companies. His daughter Mary Fawler Maude may reside rent free in his house in St John St, New Shoreham. He requested that his grandson did not enter the army or navy or any occupation requiring them to go the East or West Indies or any other hot or unhealthy climate. If his daughters were to become Catholics they were to lose their income.
