Thomas died on 10 July 1754 at Dublin, Ireland, aged 70.
His will was proved on 10 July 1754 at the Prerogative Court of Armagh. Thomas Handy, late of co. Wexford, left by his last will and testament the sum of £150 to be placed at interest & the interest to be applied for the purpose of putting poor children apprentice & 2/3 for the mens meeting of Dublin, 1/3 to the mens meeting of Wexford. This sum was for a time placed with John Dawson Coates but was afterwards repaid by him. Probate was granted to the executors Handy & Strettle being affirmed as Quakers.
