      Sir Richard Graham or Greame was also known as Grimes in some records. Sir Richard Graham or Greame was also known as Graham in some records. He was born circa 1550 in Scotland. Richard & George shared the arms of the Greame family of Sewerby House, Yorkshrire. He was the son of Patriarch Graham or Greame.
     Sir Richard Graham or Greame married Elizabeth Hetherington, daughter of Christopher Hetherington. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Christopr. Hetherington of Dunecarney in the county of Dublin by whom he had issue Thomas, William, Peter, George, Richard, Jane, Katherin (Dunbar), Elizabeth, Margaret, and Ann.
     In the Carew manuscripsts he is described as being "a gallant soldier but".
     In April 1601 he was given letters of recommendation to Sir Robert Cecil at Court, from Lord Chancellor Loftus, Thomas [Jones] Bishop of Meath, Capt David Hetherington, Sir Geoffrey Fenton and Sir George Carew. But they all hoped for his speedy return. He was licensed from the Lord Deputy to repair to England for two months and was to be paid 100 pounds.

     Sir Richard Graham or Greame made a will dated 24 October 1623. His will mentions his wife Elizabeth, brother William, children Wiliam, Thomas, Peter, Geroge, Richard, Jane wife of Hetherington, Katherine wife of Dunbar, Christine, Margaret, Anne & Elizabeth wife of St Leger.
     Richard died on 7 November 1625 or 1626 in Lynanstown, Laois, Ireland. He was succeeded by his son Thomas then forty years of age and married.
     His will was proved on 7 May 1627 in the Prerogative Court of Armagh.
