     Cosmo George Gordon 3rd Duke of Gordon was born in Scotland. Cosmo George Gordon 3rd Duke of Gordon was also known as Cosmo, 3rd Duke of Gordon in some records. He was the son of Alexander Gordon 2nd Duke of Gordon.
     Cosmo died in August 1752 in France.

The Scottish Peerage states: George Gordon, 2nd Earl of Huntly, his first marriage was rendered illegal canonically.
CP Volume VI page 677. At first it seems CP is avoiding allotting Alexander a mother, but in a footnote gives the same details. "The identity of his mother is doubtful."
He m. 1stly, by contract 20 May 1445, Elizabeth Dunbar, widow of Archibald, Earl of Moray, and daughter. of James, Earl of Moray (...). He div. her and m. 2ndly, 10 Mar 1459, Lady Annabella Stuart, daughter. of JAMES I, from whom he was div. 24 July 1471 (...) and by her had issue, with four daus., "Alexander, 3rd Earl.". He was the son of Alexander Seton Lord Gordon, Earl of Huntly and Elizabeth Crichton.
     Elizabeth Dunbar married secondly George Gordon 2nd Earl Huntly circa 20 May 1455. She was married by forced contract dated 19 days after her husband's death. They seem to have had no issue, and the marriage was dissolved before 10 March 1459/60. George was granted a divorce from Elizabeth Dunbar before 10 March 1459/60.
     George Gordon 2nd Earl Huntly married secondly Lady Annabella Stewart on 10 March 1459/60. He married before 10 March 1459-60 Princess Annabella Stewart, daughter of King James I. "The Princess appears to have had no male issue, and six years after the marriage George was again a-wooing."
     George Gordon 2nd Earl Huntly married thirdly Elizabeth Hay circa June 1466 in Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. On 4,11 and 18 August 1471 banns of marriage between George and Elizabeth Hay were published. "It is usually said the marriage did not take place till after 12 May 1476, but this is founded on the erroneous date noted above (a footnote explains this), and the marriage probably followed closely on the final proclamation.
Elizabeth Hay was the mother of ten legitimate children, four sons and six daughters. George was granted a divorce from Lady Annabella Stewart on 24 July 1471 in Aberdeen.
     George Gordon 2nd Earl Huntly married Elizabeth Erroll (Gray) on 12 May 1476 in Scotland. George was Chancellor of Scotland between 1498 and 1501.
     George died circa 8 June 1501 in Stirling, Stirlingshire, Scotland.

     George Gordon 2nd Marquis Huntly was born in Scotland. He was the son of George Gordon Marquess of Huntly and Lady Henrietta Stewart.
     George Gordon 2nd Marquis Huntly married Anne Campbell Lady in 1607.
     In 1611 had received a charter of the Lordship of Badenoch and in 1632 had been created Viscount Aboyne. He was a zealous adherent of Charles I, and in consequence was beheaded in 1649. He was succeeded by his son Lewis as 3rd Marquess.
     George died being beheaded for treason on 22 March 1648/49 in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland. He was buried in Seton, Scotland.

     George Gordon 4th Earl Huntly was born in 1513. He was the son of Lord John Gordon and Margaret Stewart.
     A contract for the marriage of George Gordon 4th Earl Huntly and Elizabeth Keith was signed on 27 March 1530.
     George Gordon 4th Earl Huntly married Elizabeth Keith, daughter of Robert Keith Lord Keith and Elizabeth Douglas, on 27 March 1530. George Lord Chancellor of Scotland in 1546.
     George died of apoplexy on 22 October 1562 in Corrichie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He was killed at the retreat at the Battle of Corrichie. His body was afterwards produced in Parliament and a sentence of forfeiture was pronounced against him and his family
. He was buried in Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

     P.C., K.T. 4th Marquess, the 1649 attainder was reversed by Act of Parliament 1661 and he was created Duke of Gordon, Marquess of Huntly, Earl of Huntly & Enzie, Viscount of Inverness, Lord Badenoch, Lochaber, Strathavon, Balmore, Auchindown, Garthrie, and Kincardine 1684.

     George Gordon 5th Earl Huntly married Anna Hamilton, daughter of James Hamilton Duke of Chatelherault and Lady Margaret Douglas, circa August 1558.
     He was living with his wife's friends when the rebellion which ended in his father's death took place. He was however included in the forfeiture and was tried and convicted of treason. In 1563 he was condemned to death for high treason, was subsequently pardoned in 1565, which was confirmed by parliament in 1567. In 1565 was consituted Lord Chancellor of Scotland. George Gordon 5th Earl Huntly was mentioned in a sasine in July 1573 In July 1573 he was heir to his father of lands, etc. in Elgin.
     George died suddenly, after a game of football on 20 October 1576 in Strathbogie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He was buried in Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

     He was created Baron Meldrum, of Morven co. Aberdeen (Peerage of U.K.) 1815. In 1796 he succeeded his kinsman as 9th Marquess and Earl of Huntly, Earl of Enzie and the peerage cr. 1660. A Representative Peer 1796-1807. [Debrett]

     George Gordon Marquess of Huntly was born circa 1563 in Scotland. He was the son of George Gordon 5th Earl Huntly and Anna Hamilton.
     He was head of the Roman Catholic party in Scotland. He was engaged in treasonable correspondence with Court of Spain 1588, erected the standard of rebellion in the North 1589, and surrendered to James VI, tried and found guilty of treason but was released shortly afterwards on the occasion of the King's marriage, renewed his treasonable correspondence with Spain, and in conjunction with the Earl of Errol defeated the Royal Army at Strathaven 1594. In 1597 his honours were restored, and in 1599 he was created Marquess of Huntly (Peerage of Scotland) and between 1608-25 acquired the dignities of Baron Badenoch, Lochaber, Strathavon, Auchindown, Balmore, Garthie, and Kincardine, Viscount Inverness (cr.1600) and Earl of Enzie (cr.1599).
     George Gordon Marquess of Huntly married Lady Henrietta Stewart, daughter of Esme Stewart Duke of Lennox and Catherine de Balsac, on 21 July 1588 in Holyrood, Edinburgh, Midlothian. George was created Marquis of Huntly, Earl of Enzie & Lord Gordon of Badenoch on 17 April 1599.
     George died on 13 June 1636 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland. An unknown person was buried in from Strathbogie in Elgin, Moray, Scotland.

     Grace Cicelie Gordon Countess Lonsdale was born in 1854. She was the daughter of Charles Gordon 10th Marquess of Huntly.

     Granville Armyne Gordon was born in 1856 in England. He was the son of Charles Gordon 10th Marquess of Huntly.
     Granville died in 1907.
