     Uchtred of Galloway was the son of Fergus, Lord of Galloway.
     The first appearance of Fergus in history is not on his own. He was accompanied by his son Uchtred when King David I in 1136 granted land in Perdeyc or Patrick to the Church of Glasgow when that church was
dedicated (R. Bodine, 2000/02/04).
     Uchtred of Galloway married Gunnild,, daughter of Waldeve, and Sigrid or Sigarith,. Gunnild, who was married to Uchtred, son of Fergus, Lord of Galloway, with issue.
     Uchtred died on 22 September 1174. In relating the violent death of Uchtred son of Fergus, Roger de Howden records that Henry II claimed that Uchtred was his cousin.

She was 25 according to the American family history but this is more likely to be the marriage to George Trull. Mr Matthew Gambell of London, was an elderly widower with a grown family, However he only mentions cousins in his will along with Martha's children.

The Armagh Guardian , 30 Sep 1845 reported: On the 18th inst., at Acton church, by the father of the bride, M Fleming Handy Esq., of New Haggard Cottage in the county of Meath, to Isabella Sarah, daughter of Rev H Gamble of Drumnargoole-house, county Armagh.
     Isabella died on 31 December 1897 in 4 Eglington Park, Kingstown, Monkstown, Dublin, Ireland, aged 72. She was buried in Deansgrange cemetery, Blackrock, Dublin, Ireland.
