     Sir William Fitzwilliam married secondly Isabel Deincourt. John Ravilious wrote: it has been all but proven that the daughters of Sir William (e.g., Margaret, wife of Henry de Pierrepont, and Joan, wife of Sir Brian de Thornhill) were his issue by Isabel Deincourt, his (apparent) 2nd wife. Based largely on her will dated 25 July 1348, it also appeared that Sir John FitzWilliam, eldest surviving son and heir of Sir William, was her son as well [she made a bequest to "Johanni filio meo", among others], but I recall there had remained a doubt in some corners.
An otherwise obscure record concerning lands in Dalton juxta Thribergh, Yorks. serves to cement the relationship. In Isabel's will she calls John her son; in this demise by John FitzWilliam dated 29 May 1348 - obviously during Isabel Deincourt's lifetime - she is called "Isabella, the grantor's mother".

The Deincourt ancestry of the later FitzWilliams of Sprotborough, and of the descendants of the FitzWilliam daughters, is certain. The matter of the maternal ancestry of Isabel Deincourt (possibly not via de Mohun) still deserves further study.
     Lord of Emley and Sprotborough; at inquest 9 Edw II (1315). He was summoned for military service in 1327.
     William died before 1342. He was living on 11 Apr 1340 when he was declared too old and infirm to serve and his son John was to serve in his stead. He was buried before 1342 at Sprotborough. His will asked to be buried in the chapel of St Tyhomas the Martyr at Sprotborough.

     William died between 22 March 1322 and 1323 at Pontefract, Yorkshire. He joined Thomas, Earl of Lancaster; was taken prisoner at Boroughbridge, and hanged at Pontefract, in his father's lifetime..

     Joseph Thomas P Flanagan married Myrtle Alice Dobson, daughter of Charles Killigrew Dobson and Mary Ann Haines, on 29 December 1928 at St Giles Presbytery, Norwood, South Australia.

     Catherine Fleming was born circa 1757 at Sligo, Ireland. Second daughter of Matthew Fleming of Old Rock, co. Sligo by his wife Dorothy, second daughter of William Orme of Ballintobber, co. Mayo. She was the niece of Sir John Fleming, Bart, of Brompton Park.
Her husband's will of 1829 mentions money left to their daughter Dorothea by her grandparents Mathew & Dorothea Fleming which suggests that she is their daughter. According to her son Richard Fleming, she was cousin to Lady Harrington, the mother of the present (1859) Duchess of Bedford, and the Duchess of Leicester who died a few months earlier.
The Genealogical Office pedigree states that Mathew Fleming was of Ballincarron, co. Sligo. Mick Mecham states that she was born in Co. Lietrim. She was the daughter of Matthew Fleming and Dorothea Orme.
     A marriage settlement between Catherine Fleming and Samuel Wesley Handy was made on 10 June 1772 at Dublin, Ireland. Registered 30 October 1793, by Mathew Fleming: A marriage settlement dated 10 June 1772, between Samuel Handy, of Coolylough, co. Westmeath Esq., and Samuel Wesley Handy, Esq. his eldest son and heir apparent of 1st part; Mathew Fleming of Drumsna, co. Leitrim. Esq., and Catherine Fleming, spinster, his daughter of 2nd part. Archibald Fleming of Ballanecarron, co. Sligo and Thomas Fouace, of Tyrrillspass, co. Westmeath, gent of 3rd part. Reciting - A marriage to be between the said Samuel Wesley Handy and Catherine Fleming, and that Samuel Handy was seized in fee of the townes and lands of Brackareagh and Coolylough, co. Westmeath, and also of town and lands of Aughrim, co. Galway, and the Mill and Miller's gardens of said town containing 1400 acres, and also of the tolls and customs of the markets and fairs of said towns and lands of Aughrim by virtue of a lease of lives renewable for ever and also seized of ground houses and tenements in city of Dublin, in one of them by a lease of lives renewable for ever and another Lease for years.
     Witnesseth that for consideration mentioned Samuel Handy did agree with Mathew Fleming that the said Samuel Handy would in two years next convey the said lands of Brackaghrea and Coolylough, Aughrim and tolls and customs of Aughrim which were then settled on said Samuel Handy [party hereto] by his father Samuel Handy, gent. deed, with the Mills and Miller's gardens of said town and also the half of the lands of Coololah being part of said lands of Aughrim which were therefore settled on said Samuel Handy, deed, in his life on his son John Handy, and also in said ground and houses in City of Dublin upon trust mentioned:

     Catherine Fleming married Samuel Wesley Handy, son of Samuel Handy and Ruth Bertrand, in 1773 at Ireland. He had fifteen children, five of whom died young - four daughters and six sons surviving. (17 children according to Denis Handy with 10 surviving, nine having issue).
     Catherine Fleming and Samuel Wesley Handy appeared on the in 1821 census at Brackareagh, Ardnurcher or Horseleap, Westmeath. Four storied house no. 1 Sam W Handy, aged 70, gentleman and holder of 255 acres here & 90 acres in Gregham in King's Co., & 90 acres in Aughrim co. Galway, Catherine his wife age 64, Thomas Handy aged 26, his son; Dorothy aged 35, Maria aged 23 & Ruth aged 21 his daughters.

     Catherine died on 6 August 1824 at Bracca/Brackagh Castle, Ardnurcher or Horseleap, Westmeath. At Bracca Castle, August 6, deeply and truly regretted by her husband, family, and numerous friends after a short illness, which she bore with christian patience and fortitude, Catherine, lady of Samuel W. Handy, of Bracca Castle, in the County of Westmeath, Esquire. She departed in the full assurance of faith and a glorious hope of immortality through Jesus Christ, her Saviour - "Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth, yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them".
     Catherine Fleming was mentioned in the will of Samuel Wesley Handy dated 12 August 1824. Catherine Fleming witnessed the codicil of Samuel Wesley Handy on 13 August 1826 at Bracca/Brackagh Castle; Sam made a codicil reflecting the death of his wife. Catherine Fleming was buried after 6 September 1826 at Ardnurcher or Horseleap, Westmeath, Ireland.
