     Samuel of Edingarroch in Premnay appears to have moved to Aberdeen between 1796 and 1802. The naming pattern suggests that his father was Peter or James, so possibly he is the brother of James who inherited the farm at Premnay, though born at Tullynessle. There is no Samuel Emslie listed in the Aberdeen directories.
     Samuel died before 1841. He may be the Samuel Emslie buried 1 Oct 1832 at St Peter's churchyard, Aberdeen.

In the Midmar register: Samuel Emslie of this parish & Elizabeth Muil were contracted in order for marriage and married.
     Samuel Emslie and Elizabeth Muil were mentioned in a deed dated 24 April 1824 in Linton, Cluny, Aberdeenshire. Deed of settlement of Samuel Emslie - appoints George Emslie, farmer in mill of Kenmay, Joseph Emslie of Camphill, merchant in Tarland; Alexander Emslie residing in Aberdeen; and the Rev Francis Muil one of the teachers in Gadins? Hospital as trustees and they to pay his wife Elizabeth Muil or Emslie an annuity of £50, has two sons - minors, dated 24 April 1824.
     Samuel died before 11 January 1837 in Aberdeenshire.
     His will was proved on 11 January 1837 in Aberdeenshire. Samuel Emslie, residing in Tullochvenus, (parish of Tough) thereafter residing at Linton in parish of Cluny. His will mentions George Emslie, farmer in Mill? of Kemnay, Joseph Emslie of Camphill, merchant in Tarrland?, Alexander Emslie, residing in Aberdeen and the Reverend Francis Muil? one of the teachers in Gadens? Hospital and the majority ... to the said George Emslie, Joseph Emslie.
