     Rupert Edward Dougherty was born on 4 February 1913 in Kyabram, Victoria. He was the son of Arthur Edward Dougherty and Margaret Ellen Colbert.
     Rupert died on 28 December 1993 in Euroa, Victoria, aged 80. He was buried at Euroa.

     Ethel Douglas or Deslandes was born illegitimate on 7 September 1905 in Carlton, Victoria. She was fostered by the Deslandes family and used their name.
     Ethel Douglas or Deslandes married Donald Ferguson Chadwick, son of Joseph Rossbotton Chadwick and Catherine MacKenzie, on 19 January 1935 in Clifton, Victoria.
     Ethel died on 13 March 1978 in Parkdale, Victoria, aged 72. She was buried on 16 March 1978 in Springvale.

     Agnes died in Scotland. She was the daughter of John Douglas 2nd Earl of Morton and Janet Crichton.

     Andrew Douglas was born. He was the second son.. He was the son of Archibald Douglas of Douglas.
     Andrew died after 1248.

     He was known as 'the Grim' and leader of the 'Black Douglas' clan. Archibald Douglas 3rd Earl was born in 1328. He was the son of James Douglas the Good.

     Archibald Douglas 4th Earl married Princess Margaret Stewart Lady of Galloway, daughter of Robert, III Stewart, King of Scotland and Annabella Drummond. Archibald Douglas 4th Earl was born circa 1369. He was the son of Archibald Douglas 3rd Earl.
     He served in the Army and was wounded in five places and lost an eye in 1402 in Homildon Hill, Northumberland. He was taken prisoner by Hotspur.
     Archibald died in 1424 in Verneuil, France.

     Archibald Douglas 5th Earl married Euphemia Graham, daughter of Patrick Graham Earl of Strathearn and Euphemia, Countess of Strathearn,. Archibald Douglas 5th Earl was the son of Archibald Douglas 4th Earl.
     Archibald died in 1439. His tomb at Douglas is inscribed 'Duke of Touraine, Earl of Douglas and of Longueville, Lord of Galloway, Wigtown and Annandale, Lieutenant of the King of Scots.'.

     He was called 'Bell the cat' and leader of the 'Red Douglas' clan. Archibald Douglas 5th Earl Angus was born circa 1449. He was the son of George Douglas 4th Earl Angus.
     Archibald Douglas 5th Earl Angus married Elizabeth Boyd Countess of Angus, daughter of Lord Robert Boyd and Mariota or Janet Maxwell, on 4 March 1467/68.

     Archibald Douglas Earl of Moray was born circa 1424. He was the younger twin son of the 7th Earl of Douglas.
     Archibald Douglas Earl of Moray married Elizabeth Dunbar, daughter of James Dunbar 4th Earl of Moray and Katherine or Janet Seton (of Gordon), after August 1434. The marriage occured before 26 April 1442, Archibald Douglas, who was created Earl of Moray.
In 1445 Elizabeth, yr. da. and coh., Countess of Moray succeeded, not - being the younger - suo jure Countess, but by the "extort power" of the then all-powerful family of Douglas, having m., after Aug. 1434, and before 26 Apr. 1442, Archibald, yr. of the twin 2nd and 3rd sons of James (Douglas), 7th Earl of Douglas. Archibald took his seat in Parliament as Earl of Moray 3 July 1445 in supposed right of his wife but in reality by virtue of the overpowering ascendancy just then of the Douglases.
Archibald took his seat as Earl of Moray in Parl. [S.] 3 July 1445, perhaps immediately on coming of age. His name is included in the train of his brother William, Earl of Douglas [S.], a commissioner in the Spring of 1451 to treat with England as to breaches of the truce, and he was among the conservators of the truce concluded 14 Aug. following. Upon the murder of his said brother by the King in Feb. 1451/2, he joined his brother James in armed rebellion for revenge. They defeated the Earl of Huntly at the Moss of Dunkinty. Though the Earldom of Moray was not at once forfeited by Parl. [S.], the King appears to have considered that, by this rebellion, the dignity was in his hands (see below). In a fresh outbreak of rebellion the Earl of Moray was killed in action at Arkinholm, 1 May 1455. As Archibald, pretensus comes Moravie, he was attainted of treason and his forfeiture declared 12 June following on 3 July 1445.
     Archibald died on 1 May 1455 in Arkholm, Lancashire.

     James Douglas 3rd Earl of Morton married Catherine Stewart, daughter of James, IV, King of Scotland and Margaret Boyd (of Bonshaw), circa 1507.
     On 17 Oct 1540, after pressure amounting to persecution, he was induced by the King to resign his estates and honours (subject to his own life rent and his wife's tierce) in favour of a distant cousin (his nearer relative, viz. the heir male presumptive being passed over) Sir Robert Douglas of Lochleven ... But the earl obtained an annulment thereof. He died without male issue.
     James died in December 1548 in Scotland.
