Grahame Patrick Dixon was known as Pat. He was born on 16 May 1873 in Brisbane, Queensland. He was the son of Joseph Black Dixon and Louisa Jane Sloan.
Grahame was educated to 1891 in Brisbane Grammar School, Queensland.
Grahame studied medicine at Sydney University from 1892 to 1897. Grahame was a doctor from 1898. In 1989 he was resident medical officer at Royal Prince Alffred in Sydney, then returned to Brisbane as a resident at the Hospital for Sick Children. He commenced private practice in Maryborough and after ten years travelled overseas for post graduate work insurgery. He studied in England and Scotland and on the Continent and then returned to Brisbane to set up practice in Wickham Terrace as a consultant surgeon. War then broke out and he enlisted.
He served as a Colonel in the Army from 1914 to 1918. He sailed as a major with the Third Field Ambulance on September 25 1914. Following training in Egypt and Lemnos he went to Gallipoli, and with Graham Butler, also of Brisbane, he was one the first medical officers ashore. After the Gallipoli campaign he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in charge of the First Light Horse Field Ambulance. This unit served under his command with distinction in Egypt and the Sinai desert. In 1917 he was appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, Australian Mounted Division, with the rank of Colonel. He was later involved with the Repatriation Hospital. He was awarded a CBE (Commander of the British Enmpire) in 1919.
Grahame died on 7 August 1947 in Brisbane, QLD, aged 74. He left money to John Parkinson.

He served as a Colonel in the Army from 1914 to 1918. He sailed as a major with the Third Field Ambulance on September 25 1914. Following training in Egypt and Lemnos he went to Gallipoli, and with Graham Butler, also of Brisbane, he was one the first medical officers ashore. After the Gallipoli campaign he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in charge of the First Light Horse Field Ambulance. This unit served under his command with distinction in Egypt and the Sinai desert. In 1917 he was appointed Assistant Director of Medical Services, Australian Mounted Division, with the rank of Colonel. He was later involved with the Repatriation Hospital. He was awarded a CBE (Commander of the British Enmpire) in 1919.
Grahame died on 7 August 1947 in Brisbane, QLD, aged 74. He left money to John Parkinson.

John Russell Dixon was born on 4 October 1918 in Eagle Junction, Queensland. He was the son of Joseph Eric Dixon and Mary Bridget Shannon.
John died on war service on 10 May 1944 in England aged 25. His 'Roll of Honour' F/O Jack Dixon, RAAF states: He was educated at Eagle Junction State School and the Brisbane Grammar School and joined the Company 1 April 1935 and was the first male clerk appointed when the Queensland Branch was opened. In October 1939 he enlisted in the AIF as a private, and on 5 May 1940 sailed for England with the 1st Anti-Tank Regiment of the 6th Division. After a brief period in England, he arrived in the Middle East on Christmas Eve 1940, and served there followed by some months in Colombo, returning to Australia in August 1942. Jack transferred to the RAAF on 3 January 1943, and trained at Narrandera and Evans Head. He received his Air Gunner wing and Commission at the latter station on 16 September 1943 and a few days later left Australia once more for England. He did well on his combat course, and won the course trophy (picture included) at Lossiemouth, Scotland in January 1944.
His parents are Mr & Mrs J E Dixon of Eagle Junction, Brisbane. At the time of his retirement Mr Dixon was Manager, Branch Dept., Queensland, of the National Bank of Australasia Ltd.
