     The Williamstown chronicle reported on 18 July 1896: Mr Wesley Hall has taken Mr James Grice's residence 'Oma" Boundary Road, Toorak, where Miss Daisy Dempster will dispense hospitality on his account.
     Margaret Kate Lillian Dempster and James Wesley Hall were engaged circa 1898 at Toorak, Victoria. The engagement is announced of Mr J Wesley Hall, 'Oma', Toorak, to Miss Daisy Dempster, sister of Mrs Arthur F Hooper, "Enmore", Wallace Street, Toorak. Margaret Kate Lillian Dempster married James Wesley Hall as his second wife, on 5 December 1898 at 'Oma', Boundary Rd, Toorak, Victoria.
     The Williamstown newspaper of 2 Feb 1901 reported: Mrs Wesley Hall has been left £10.000 and an annuity of £2000 by her late husband and each of her three sisters 1000 shares in the Mount Morgan mine, Queensland, out of which testator made his money.
     A Williamstown newspaper reported on 6 Jan 1906: Mrs Wesley Hall and family have left 'Wolverton' Torrak, and are renting Mrs Matthew Lang's house at Ricjard's Point, Sandringham, for three months. Mrs Arthur Hooper and her children and Miss Hume Black are the guests of Mrs Wesley Hall at Sandringham.
     Daisy took her sister Dora's children to England after Fanny's death in 1907.
     Margaret Kate Lillian Dempster made a will dated 27 May 1915 at 6 Berkeley House, Hay Hill, London, England. The will of Margaret Kate Lillian Hall, formerly of Raveloe, Domain Road, South Yarra, Victoria but now of 6 Berkeley House, Hay Hill, in the county of London, widow ... dated 27 May 1915. She mentions her sisters Georgia Frances May Jackson and Maria Huon Dempster and her nieces May Elizabeth Wesley Hall, Dora Maryan Wesley Morris, Florence Mildred Georgina Canning Hall, her nephew Ashby Arthur Hooper, niece Margaret Elma Hooper, and Alice Mary Lush who is now residing with me.
The Victorian Supreme Court Exemplification of Letters of Administration describes her as late of Three Gables, Beech Road, Reigate, Surrey.
     Margaret died on 24 September 1918 at 'Three Gables', Beech Rd, Reigate, Surrey, England, aged 48. On the 24th September, at 53 Cheniston Gardens, London, W., Margaret Kate Lillian (Daisy), widow of the late James Wesley Hall of Mount Morgan and Melbourne, and sister of Malla Huon Dempster. [All other references give Reigate!]
     Mrs Wesley Hall whose death occurred at Reigate, after 24 hours illness, on the 24th September was formerly Margaret Dempster, daughter of the late R W Dempster of Melbourne, and married in 1898 the late James Wesley Hall, of Melbourne and Mount Morgan, Queensland. She was the stepmother of Madame de Mouzilly St Mars, Mrs Gerard Tharpe, and Mrs Charles Bridge. Mrs Hall was closely connected with many charitable works, and was recently decorated with the Medaille del la Reine Elizabeth for her services to the Belgian refugees.
     Cable advice has been received by Mrs A F Hooper of the death, following on a paralytic stroke, of Mrs Wesley Hall, widow of the late James Wesley Hall of Mount Morgan. Mrs Wesley Hall had lived in England for the last 10 years. She was a very active worker and generous contributor in regard to different war funds. For her services as hon. secretary of the Belgian Refugee Food Fund, an organization which has done notable relief work in London, she had the Queen Elizabeth medal conferred on her by King Albert of Belgium.
     Recently cabled news from England of the death of Mrs Wesley Hall .... recalls the 'furore'? that her marriage made here some years ago. The late Mr Wesley Hall of Mount Morgan fame, had been a widower for some time, when the announcement was made of his marriage to a deceased wife's sister. The two daughters who were presented at court ... grew up, married in England. The eldest daughter May, married to Marquis de St Mars, about four years ago; the second, Dora, married the Hon. George Morris, brother of Lord Killanin. As the latter was a bachelor Mrs Morris's son is heir presumptiave to the title. Her husband was killed in the early days of the war and has since married Mr Gerald Thorpe whose people are very wealthy and have a ... place in York. The youngest daughter married to Captain Bridge... son of General Bridge. Old residents will recognise that most of .... Dempster family originally of the ES&A Bank, Nelson Place. She was buried on 27 September 1918 at Brompton, Middlesex.
     Her will was proved on 19 February 1919 at the Principal Probate Registry, London.

A letter dated March 14 1894 from her mother reads: My darling Dora, I am sending with this some cuttings relative to George Canning and his death also one or two letters of his. One written to his brother in which he accepts the sponsorship of my dear mother (his niece) and another written to his brother's wife (nee Dora Ashby) my mother's mother, relative to a likeness of her husband which as the only one extant she had sent George Canning but which he graciously refuses to deprive her of. They are of great value in consequence of their age and memories associated with them. Although of perhaps no monetary value and I beg you to take care of them for that reason darling. We have this moment received two nice letters from you and dear old Daisy. The girls are packing the few remaining things also a thin blouse that May has made for Das for the ... ... Mrs Roberts is going with the girls to the University concert and dance on Saturday evening. We were up at the Roberts last evening and didn't we talk about you dear. Mrs Parker says you more ... beloved by high and low ... and from ... any ...... I am sorry dear baby is still a wee bit ailing, kiss her for me and alike for Maimee.      Her Majesty the Queen held a Drawing Room at Buckingham Plalace yesterday afternoon ... Mrs Wesley Hall, by the Lady Garvagh.
     Mary Frederica Dora Dempster lived at 'Rutland Gate', London, England, June 1894.
     Mr & Mrs Wesley Hall and family have now left London and are the guests of Mrs Treffrey at Palace? Castle in Cornwall, for regatta week at Cowes.
     Mary died on 23 November 1895 at Hastings, Sussex, England, aged 31. Wesley-Hall - On Saturday night, the 23rd inst., at St Helen's Lodge, Hastings, England (of peritonitis) Dora Frederica Mary, the beloved wife of J Wesley Hall, dearly loved daughter of William & Margaret Dempster, E S & A Bank, Williamstown, and sister of Mrs A F Hooper, Kew (by cable) . Another account states that she succumbed to an old aliment - hydatids - which had troubled her in her schooldays, which she thought was successfully cured.

Administration of the estate of George Augustus Frederick Dempster was granted to Richard Dempster, on 21 February 1848 at the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Admon of George Dempster late of Brighton, Sussex. gent, a widower deceased, was granted to Richard Dempster the uncle and George Tamplin the curators lawfully assigned to Augustus George Dempster & George Bunduck Dempster minors, the natural & lawful & only children for the use of the said minors until one of them shall attain the age of 21 years. James Dempster & John Best Webb the lawful grandfathers and only next of kin of the said minors having first renounced Curatorship. £4000.
He witnessed the codicil of Ann Unknown on 27 October 1850 at Brighton, Sussex; This is a codicil of me Ann Dempster of Brighthelmstone Ssx widow I hereby confirm the direction in my will to James Dempster of East Grinstead the eldest son of my late husband James Dempster of the copyhold messuage and piece of freehold ground with stabling And whereas I appointed £300 three pound ten shilling per cent bank annuities in trust for my grandson George Dempster And I gave the land tax of £2.18.8 charged on Turks farm and all my real estate and residue of my personal estate unto my grandson George Dempster And appointed George Dempster executor And whereas my grandson George Dempster has departed this life Now I revoke all appointments and devises in my will in favour of my late grandson George Dempster And I hereby appoint the said £300 unto Sarah Dempster one of the daughters of the said James Dempster and I bequeath all my wearing apparel to Sarah the wife of the said James Dempster And I bequeath all the furniture wine spirits plate linen china books and other household effects belonging to me in my house no.42 Grand Pde Brighton and all my trinkets watches and jewellery to Sarah Dempster one of the daughters of James Dempster and I bequeath £19.19.0 each to Sarah Dempster and Mary Dempster and Ann Dempster two other daughters of James Dempster I give all the residue of my real and personal estate to Richard Dempster of Brighton Esq. and George Tamplin of no.150 Fenchurch St, London, gent upon trust to convert the same into money and be possessed of the same in trust for Augustus George Dempster and George Bundock Dempster the two children of my deceased grandson George Dempster to be equally divided between them share and share alike at the age of 21 And if both died before 21 in trust for Sarah Dempster, the daughter of James Dempster I appoint Richard Dempster and George Tamplin executors.      Richard Dempster was registered as a house and landed proprietor at Brighton, Sussex, on the electoral roll dated between 1852 and 1859. He was an executor of Ann Unknown's estate on 27 October 1859 at the Principal Probate Registry, London.
     Richard Dempster and Ann Wafford appeared on the 1861 census at Brighton, Sussex. Richard aged 65 and his wife Ann aged 61, and sister in law Frances Wafford aged 61, with two servants resided in the house. Ann & Frances were both born in Hackney. Richard described himself as a landed proprietor and fundholder.

     Richard died in 1873 at Eccleshall, Staffordshire.
     His will was proved on 13 March 1876 at PPR. The will of Richard Dempster, formerly of 13 Hanover Crescent, Brighton, Sussex, but late of Eccleshall, co. Stafford, Esquire, who died 1873 at Eccleshall, was proved at Lichfield by Richard Frederic Dempster at Eccleshall, Gentleman, the son, the sole executor. Effects valued at less than £3000.
