Elizabeth Armstrong married Charles Smith (3rd Bart), son of Sir John Silvester Smith (Bart) and Henrietta Maria Dodsworth, on 8 June 1808. He was a Lieut-Colonel in the 22nd Light Dragoons. She was the only child of John Armstrong, Esq. of Lisgoole, co. Fermanagh and grand daughter of Cadwallader, 9th Lord Blayney. They had 14 children.

George Armstrong was born in January 1704/5. He was the son of Andrew Armstrong and Lucy Charnock (Mason).

John died in 1704 at Gibraltar. He was engaged early in a military life, and was lieutenant in Lord Barrymore's Regiment of Foot in garrison at Gibraltar, then closely beseiged by the Spaniards. It happened that, while walking with the Prince of Hesse (the governor) and several other officers that were off duty, a party that had been ordered to burn the enemy's fascines, appared, bu the officer, unde whose command they were to act, not being ready, Mr Armstrong volunteered to perform the arduous duty. His offer was readily accepted and marching directly to the ground set the fascines on fire. He received however a wound from a canon ball in the head, of which he died in 1704, in the 37th year of his age.
