Martha Unknown (Evans/Trull/Gambell) (c.1779-1856)
Martha Copperwheat? was born circa March 1779 at Bedford, Bedfordshire. Her birth name is a problem, she married her second? husband George Trull as Martha Copperwheat, spinster, yet her daughter married as Louisa Copperwheat. In their wills, both her 3rd husband and she mention her children William Evans & Louisa Denty (who married as Copperwheat); she may have been the Martha baptised 10 Jan 1779 at Little Berkhampstead, Herts, daughter of Robert Copperwhate & Martha, but she stated Bedford as her birthplace in the 1851 census aged 72.
Martha Copperwheat? married William Evans. Martha Copperwheat? witnessed (possibly) the wedding of Sarah Copperwheat and James Vignali. She signed as Martha Copperwheat along with Thos Hawkins. Sarah was married with the consent of parents on 3 October 1797 at St Bartholomew The Great, London.
Martha Copperwheat? married William Copperwheat on 13 July 1798. This Bedford marriage of Martha Litchfield is only a guess and unlikely. She 'should' be an widowed Evans.
Martha Copperwheat? lived at the Lambe Eating House, Bearbinders Lane, London, St Mary Woolnoth & Woolchurch, from 1806 to 1807. Bearbinders Lane (runs into Mansion House), St Mary Woolnoth & Woolchurch (also close to St Swithins & St Stephens, Walbrook).
