This entry makes it impossible to be the Joseph born in 1784, however his son Isaac was later farm bailiff at Culford. He was buried on 1 August 1822 in St Mary, Culford.

In a letter to the Lands Dept on 27 June 1875 he states" in respect to my improvements,I have resided upon it ever since I received my occupation licence. I have a weatherboard cottage & garden, 63 chains of post & rail
fence. It is all enclosed, used for grazing purposes.

Joshua Cocksedge, farmer, 33 years, son of William, labourer & Maria, formerly Wallaker; informant Charles Vaux, father-in-law of Won Wron. Born Bury St Edmunds, 17 years in Victoria. Married at Yarram aged 22. Issue: Alice Maria 9, Albert 7, William Charles 5, Edith 3, Frederick Ernest 1. See also Coulthard book. His wife Eliza Hannah subsequently married James Emerson Coulthard. At his wife's death he was named as Frederick and her age at marriage 19, her father's name was William! Vic probate index gives death date as 11 Jan 1880 admon to Eliza J Coulthard. He was buried on 13 January 1881 in Church of England section, Yarram.
     His will was proved on 16 April 1885 in Victoria.
