Item I give & devise unto the --John Poplewell one cottage house & yard to the same belonging situate in Carrhouse in Belton one Rood & a half of land arable being in Northwest abutting upon Glewton headland north one Rood of land arable lying in Northweste in Belton at a --- comonly called the six hundred, to him the said John Poplewell his heirs & assigns for ever
Item I give & devise to Humfrey Poplewell my second son that tenement ---- & close of land arable meadow or pasture to the same belonging being by estimation five acres more or lesse sitt -- being in Carrhouse in Belton above said lying next the ground of Symon Maw gent: north & abbutting upon the -rrhouse laine east one acre of meadow or pasture lying in Belton in a certain place called Aumcroste ? & halfe - Close comonly called the pryclose in Belton betwixt the ground of me the said John Poplewell east & the ground of Thomas Glew west with the appurtenances To him the said Humfrey Poplewell his heirs and sssigns for ever

Item I give and devise unto Elizabeth Poplewell my youngest daughter three Roods of land arable lying upon onnehill/hennehill abutting upon Francis Hallifax east -- acre and a half lying upon stonehouse next the land of Richard Kymman gent north & abutting upon George wells --st half and acre & half a Rood of land arable lying
--- green gate abbutting upon Townend headland east & ground late Henry -yllingstone west, half an acre of land --ble lying there abutting upon Townend head land east --- saugh close west two selions of land arable lying there being by estimation one acre & a halfe a-- upon the saugh close abovesaid west & the heirs of J­ Poplewell east, half an acre lying upon a --- place called sary ? backs To her the said Elizabeth Poplewell her heirs & Assignes for ever
Item my will is if the said Elizabeth [die before?] twenty years I give and devise those lands given unto Elizabeth Poplewell unto John Poplewell & Humfrey Poplewell my sons heirs & assigns for ever equally to be divided between them
Item I give and devise unto Anne Poplewell my daughter half an acre of land arable lying -- Dearing hill abutting upon the woods south half an acre lying in the east field of Belton abutting upon Cl< east half an acre lying upon dearinghill abutting the woods south & one Rood lying there abutting upon the high way west. To her the said Anne heirs & Assignes for ever And if in Case the said Anne Poplewell depart her life natural before her age of one & twenty years Then I give & devise to John Poplewell my son the pasture Close called the hagg- his heirs executors Administrators & Assigns for ever, And the said Close of land< unto Humfrey Poplewell my son his heirs executors Administrators & Assigns for ever And if in Case the said depart her life natural before her age abovesaid Then I give and devise unto John Poplewell my sonne ­ three halfe acres and Rood of land arrable ­ his heires and Assigns for ever
Item I give and devise to Elizabeth my loving wife one acre of land arable lying ­ dearinghill in Belton abutting upon the ground Willyam Pettinger north & the woods south with ­ Appurtenances to her the said Elizabeth her heirs and assigns for ever
Item I give and devise to -- Chadwicke and Richard Kynman my friends ­ the Pry close being the east part lying next the ground of Thomas Glew east and me the said John Poplewell west with the appurtenances to the use and behoof of - Child now in my wife body and the heirs & assigns of the said child for ever. And if in case my said wife be not with Child at this present time Then I give- Recited half close unto John Poplewell my sonne -- heirs and Assigns for ever

Item I ordain and make my trusty friends John Chadwicke & Richard Kynman supervisors of this my last will & testament desiring them to see the same performed in every respect and I give to either of them Eighteen pence or either of them a pair of gloves to that value & to have their charges born when they go about my business

Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Poplewell my daughter the bedstead in the east parlour I do now lie in and the same to be paid to be made up in money the value of ten pounds to be paid and delivered in to the hands of Willyam Pettinger my brother in law at her age of sixteen years the same to go forwards for her use and if the said Anne depart this life before her age of one & twenty years then the same bedstead & money to remain to Elizabeth Poplewell my daughter.
