     Robert Boyd Master of Boyd was the son of Thomas Boyd 6th Lord Boyd and Margaret Campbell.
     He married Lady Jean Kerr, daughter of the second earl of Lothian. They had issue inc. Robert, 7th Lord Boyd, and James 9th Lord Boyd who succeeded his nephew.
     Robert died in May 1597.

Sarah Boyd (Shepherd)

     Sarah Boyd (Shepherd) was born circa 1836. She was the daughter of Sam Boyd. She was listed in a directory dated 1852 as Mrs Robert Halahan Gulistan Terrace, Ranelagh, Rathmiines, Dublin. This must be a previous Mrs Robert Halahan, not Sarah Shepherd.
     Sarah Boyd (Shepherd) married Robert Handy Halahan, son of George Augustus Frederick Halahan and Jane Fleming, on 25 July 1867 at the residence of George Lees, Port Augusta, South Australia.
     Sarah died on 18 July 1901 at Port Augusta, South Australia.

Sir Thomas Boyd was the son of Sir Thomas Boyd and Joan Montgomery.
Thomas died before 9 July 1439. He was killed by Sir Alan Stewart pf Darnley in a feud,for which he was himself slain in revenge 'with manie valient men' by Darnley's brother on 9 July 1439.

Sir Thomas Boyd was born at Bedlay, Kirkintilloch, Dunbartonshire, Scotland.
He was possibly the Sir Thomas Boyd of Ayrshire (or his father) who held lands in Strabane, co. Tyrone in the plantation of Ireland. His proportion of Shean lay immediately to the west of the proportion of Strabane and comprised the temporal lands in the parish of Urney. By 1613 Abercorn had taken control of Shean. These lands were transferred to his brother-in-law James Hamilton.. He was the son of Thomas Boyd 6th Lord Boyd and Margaret Campbell.

     Thomas was a Privy Counsellor.
     Thomas Boyd 6th Lord Boyd married Margaret Campbell, daughter of Sir Matthew Campbell. Thomas Boyd 6th Lord Boyd was the son of Robert Boyd 5th Lord Boyd and Margaret Colquhoun.
     He fought with his father for Queen Mary at Langside.
     In 1591 he was put to the horn as an outlaw for rebellion, but was soon pardoned.
     Thomas died in June 1611. He was succeeded by his grandson.
     By 1613 the Earl had acquired the proportion of Shen bordering on the Strabane proportion, which had originally been granted to his brother-in-law, Sir Thomas Boyd.

     Thomas Boyd Earl of Arran was born at Scotland. Eldest son of Robert, Lord Boyd, on his marriage with Mary, eldest daughter of King James II, obtained the Isle of Arran, and other lands, and was created Earl of Arran, as appears from a charter 26 April 1467. He was later attainted and forfeited in in 1469, and he died soon afterwards. He was the son of Lord Robert Boyd and Mariota or Janet Maxwell. Thomas 'The most courteous, gentlest, wisest, kindest, most bounteous knight' and 'fairest archer, devoutest, most perfect, and truest to he lady' was created an Earl whild still Master of Boyd. He was attainted with his father and d.v.p. in the service of Charles the Bold of Burgundy on 26 April 1467.
     Thomas Boyd Earl of Arran married Princess Mary Stewart, daughter of James II, King of Scotland and Mary of Gueldres Queen of Scotland, in 1469. The marriage was declared null and void and she was compelled to marry James, Lord Hamilton. Thomas was granted a divorce from Princess Mary Stewart before 1474.
     Thomas died in 1476 at Antwerp, Belgium.

     Charlotte died on 28 July 1684 at London, England. She was buried on 4 August 1684 at Westminster Abbey, London.

     Constance Beryl Bertha Boyle was born on 31 March 1882. She was the daughter of Sir Edward Boyle, Kt.. 1st Baronet of Oakham, Salehurst, Sussex.
     Constance Beryl Bertha Boyle married George Crosby Halahan, son of Capt Samuel Handy Halahan and Hannah Croucher Engeham, on 4 October 1905 at All Saints, Ennismore Gardens, London. On the 4th Oct, at All Saints, Ennismore gardens, SW, by the Rev J H Light, vicar of Great Marlow, uncle of the bride, assisted by the Rev J Blair and the Rev W R Inge, vicar of the parish, George Crosby Halahan, son the late Col. Halahan of Chiddingfield, Sussex, to Constance Beryl Bertha, daughter of Sir Edward Boyle, Bart, KC.
     Constance died on 3 February 1965 aged 82. She was buried on 16 February 1965 at Salehurst church, Robertsbridge, Sussex.

Hon. Francis Boyle Viscount Shannon

     Hon. Francis Boyle Viscount Shannon was born on 25 June 1623 at Ballinrea, Carragaline, Cork, Ireland. He was the 4th son of Richard, 1st Earl of Cork, who was created Viscount Shannon in 1660.
     Hon. Francis Boyle Viscount Shannon married Elizabeth Killigrew, daughter of Sir Robert Killigrew and Mary Woodhouse, on 24 October 1638 at Whitehall, London, Westminster. His sister Mry Boyle (the future Countess of Warwick) wrote: My brother being then judged too young to live with his wife, was a day or two after celebrating the marriage (which was done before the King and Queen) at Whitehall (she having been maid of honour to the Queen) sent into France to travel, and his wife then brought home to our house...
Francis returned from his travels several years later and he & Elizabeth had several children. Later sill the family joined Charles II in exile, and Elizabeth became the second mistress of that young libertine. Francis was created Viscount Shannon by King Charles II in 1660.
     Francis died before 19 April 1699 at Cork, Ireland. He was buried on 19 April 1699 at St Mary's Collegiate Church, Youghal, Cork.
